Second Annual LuluFest, April 14, 2018

Here is the format for the Workshops:

Students will meet in the Carriage House, at St. Edwards (please see enclosed map), at noon.

12 noon: All students orientation, meet the Artists

12:15: Separate into classes, instrument of choice (violin, piano, vocals, drums)

Teachers will be providing basic jazz tunes to work on, or students may bring a tune of their choice, 5 copies, please!)

ALL PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY. If a student just wants to watch and listen, that's perfectly all right.

Three basic tunes will be provided, but students are welcome to bring whatever material they have been working on, and feel comfortable sharing.:

 

1:30-2: Lunch break (bring a bag lunch, or food will be available for purchase)

2:00-3:30 Master Class, for Artists & participating students - Jones Auditorium

The Artists will demonstrate their techniques for playing and listening together. Students will have the opportunity to jam with the artists, or just listen.

3:30:  Break, concert set-up, eat, hang out with the Artists

 

5: Concerts begin!

LuluFest 2019

We are proud to announce our upcoming 2019 LuluFest artists. The Festival will be held May 17th at Parker Jazz club, and May 18th at St. Edward's University. Both concerts begin at 7 PM.

Featured women band-leaders include Dawn Clement, Carrie Rodriguez, Pamela York, Claire Daly, and more, TBA.
