The workshops will focus on basic jazz improv skills, not only for students already into jazz, but also those who are classically trained and think they might enjoy improvisation. The workshops will be instrument specific: Piano (Helen Sung); Trumpet (Ingrid Jensen); Vocals (Suzi Stern); Drums (Masumi Jones). On Saturday June 3rd, the worships will be held from 12-1:30 in the Carriage House (music building at St. Ed’s). From 2-3:30 a masterclass will be held in Jones Auditorium, the building adjacent.

5 PM: Albanie Falletta Quartet, featuring Albanie on guitar and vocals, with :

6 PM: Susanna Sharpe Brazilian Sextet, featuring Susanna on vocals, with:

   Marco Antonio Santos - guitar, Juliana Silveira - piano, Sergio Santos - percussion,        Glenn Rexach - bass, Tony Vanalli - drums


7 PM: Ingrid Jensen Quartet, featuring Ingrid on trumpet and flugelhorn, with:

   Peggy Stern - piano, Daniel Durham - bass, Jon Wikan - drums

8 PM : Helen Sung Trio, featuring Helen on piano and vocals, with:

   Boris Kozlov - bass, Darrell Green - drums


9 PM: Estrella Salsa, featuring Suzi Stern - vocals, Joey Colarusso - tenor sax, Ingrid       Jensen - trumpet, Daniel Durham - bass, Mike Longoria - drums, and Peggy Stern -       piano
